My collaboration with Periplous began in 2005.
The series had a strictly defined framework. Each episode was the portrait of a prominent figure in the arts, restricted to a specified year and with obligatory reference to the political and social events in that given year through the use of archival footage.
I did not feel very comfortable working within those confines, but sometimes they worked.
In total, I made four episodes for the series.
