The premise of this series is the equivalent to “Landscapes of silence”, but instead of fiction films, it features notable Greek documentaries.
It was produced by Cinetic.
I only made one episode as I was extremely busy with the series for SKAI, “Forever Champions”.

Michel Demopoulos has made only one film in his life and that was in 1975.
It was a documentary that attempted to chronicle, in a poetic way, the filming of Theo Angelopoulos’ “The traveling players”, which was in progress at the time.
Demopoulos had incorporated in his documentary shots of himself driving to various locations all over Greece, where the shooting was taking place over a period of two years, to visit the cast and crew on the set.
We adopted that same device and filmed Michel Demopoulos, driving along the same route on his way to Amfissa, to arrive at the well-known coffee house “Panellion”, where the legendary scene of the performance of Golfo was shot.
It was the second time I was filming in the same place. The first one was for a documentary about Giorgos Arvanitis.
Mixing together “The other stage” with present-day footage of Michel Demopoulos yielded very interesting results.
